Lynn and I set off from New Orleans to visit Pensacola's National Naval Aviation Museum. There was a bit of confusion on my part regarding the info on their web site. When we finally arrived at the Air Force base, we were told that the Museum was no longer open to the public. You may remember this story back in dec 2019 where a cadet at the base from Saudi Arabia decided to shoot up the place killing three and injuring eight people. They immediately cancelled entry to base for anyone that does not have a DoD ID.

We were very disappointed, but decided to check out Pensacola beach instead. It was great. The temperature was around 23C and the beach was not crowded. The area was wonderful. This would definitely be high on my "beach vacation" list

Downtown Pensacola was also very interesting, especially on Palafox Street where there were a number of fashionable restaurants and bars.

This is a picture taken from the outside patio of a wonderful bar by the beach.
