It was a very cold evening and we experienced a lot of condensation inside FBG. Wiping the ceilings, walls and windows down with a towel helped.

It was a beautiful morning with not a cloud in the sky. As we were heading out of our anchorage area, we could hear a whinny sound coming from shore. Turning around we could see a white horse head buried in a bush and then a smaller black horse with a white nose appeared. These are actually wild horses that reside on Cumberland Island. Very cool. They were brought over by the Spanish centuries ago and are still thriving.

Crossing the Georgian border into Florida, we passed through Fernandina. A popular marina there, suffered considerable damage and is under repair expecting to reopen in March of 2020.

We continued our journey down towards Jacksonville. We came into Sisters Creek where there is a free floating dock there ( no power ) . As we came into the dock area, the current was pushing against us hard. Probably 3 or 4 knots. Thankfully there was a fellow Canadian boater from New Brunswick there and helped us tie off without any issues !

One of the other boaters, an American came up and jokingly said "oh no not another Canadian boat, I am the only American" . The third Canadian boat turned out to be Alex and Cory our young travelers from Port Colborne! It doesn't matter how long we are separated, we always seem to bump back into each other. They had their boat camped out there for a week while living the good life at Alex's sister's who place who happens to live in town.

Then we got some friendly Virginia rednecks on boats come in. The first American guy was happy now that there was more balance with the CanAm dock. That was shortly lived as another Canadian boat from Quebec came in ! I told the American we were taking over his country. Being a Trump supporter, he was not amused. The people from Virginia were actually very nice. I don't think there was a lot of wealth to be had between the two boats, but they were living the dream and having a great time. One of them got his boat for free. He ripped everything out of the boat and did an immense amount of work on it. Very impressive.

They did get into the straight whisky and were quite loud during the evening but settled down before bed. An early rise was expected from them but even as we left the next morning, they were still not up yet.

Lynn and I strolled around the park there and as we walked onto the dock, a number of pelicans swooped in and came up close. We expect people had been feeding them and when they saw us arrive, they scrambled over. Very cute !

Not always warm on the journey
