It was a long 44 mile day.

Sunrise just before we departed for Brunswick GA.

As we were leaving the anchorage, a couple of pelicans showed up looking for handouts. This happened just as I was lifting the anchor out of the water. We suspect they thought I was a local crab fisherman pulling out my crab pot

1st mate taking a much needed siesta.

Beautiful home on the ICW. We could not see any roads leading to the property. It even had its own beach.

While we were in St. Simons Sound we could see a large boat on its side in the inlet. We found out later that it was a Korean freighter that had capsized in St. Simons Sound near Brunswick GA in September. It is being dismantled.

Have you hit the warm weather yet ? Where is your planned stop over for Christmas or will you celebrate it on the boat ?

Hi Mike, The hot weather is hit and miss. It was 28C on Tuesday here, but a nasty weather system moved in and the temperature is around 20C. Our plan is to be docked in Jacksonville Florida at "Marina at Ortega Landing" early next week so we will be spending Christmas there. We have a slip there for the next 2 and half months

Sounds great, next year "The Bahamas " perhaps.? You missed the" Thong Man " to-day ,great weather ,but fewer bikers.
