Today we did our first anchorage on this trip. Thanks to our friend Earl who encouraged us with the anchoring practice in Port Dover, it was a success. Lynn was really stressed about anchoring. When we approached the spot where we wanted to anchor, Lynn at the helm controlled the position of the boat while I dropped anchor. It all went according to plan. It was very quiet and peaceful anchorage and Lynn had the best sleep she has had in awhile.

This was a picture that a fellow boater in the anchorage shared of FBG while at anchor

This was a picture of our departure from the marina. We were heading out at first light and there was a little fog on the river. Note in the foreground the sailboat anchored out in the mist. I thought it looked like a "ghost ship"

Lynn looking out on the water as we headed out.

Me doing the captain Morgan stance that night after we successfully anchored. Yes I was drinking spiced rum

A couple of pictures of the beautiful sunset
