What a wonderful day for Lynn's first day back on the move. We caught a strong current in our favor and got to the Harborwalk Marina in Georgetown by 1pm. A nice, easy 33 mile day. The marina location here is great. We can step off the boat and walk straight into town. They have a cute boardwalk along the river as well as restaurants and museums on Main Street. Jon who visited Georgetown last week, recommended the marine museum and a restaurant called Aunny's. The museum was great but Lynn wasn't crazy about the floor displaying all the past hurricanes that had passed through this area. Aunny's is a quant little establishment here that serves real southern "soul" food. All the patrons were black ( except us ) so you know the food is authentic. Lynn had the fried chicken and cornbread. I had the fried pork chop, squash casserole and coleslaw. We also couldn't leave until we bought a piece of coconut pecan pie to take back with us to the boat !
